Trade: Cert III Electrotechnology Systems Electrician

Some of the topics covered within the training of this apprenticeship are:

  • Installation and termination of Low Voltage cables 
  • Testing of circuits and apparatus
  • Installation of apparatus
  • Commissioning of circuits and apparatus
  • Diagnosis and rectification of faults relating to apparatus and circuits

On completion, apprentices will have the required skills and knowledge to work as an Electrical Tradesperson in the areas of Substation Construction and Maintenance, Transformer Maintenance, Customer Connection and Emergency Supply Restoration.

Electrical Apprentices are based at metropolitan and regional depots.
