As one of South Australia's largest organisations, ETSA Utilities plays a leadership role in the community and takes environmental responsibility very seriously.
Environmental management is core business for ETSA Utilities. From recycling a significant portion of our waste and working with councils to preserving native vegetation, to installing pollution control measures and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, we take a proactive approach to protecting the environment and the communities we serve.
These prudent environmental management practices have become embedded in ETSA Utilities' business culture. Due to the continually evolving nature of this field, ETSA Utilities' Environmental Management Plan requires ongoing updating. Accordingly, the 2012 Plan identifies clear and appropriate objectives for dealing with environmental issues associated with ETSA Utilities' business activities.
